-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brett Lee backyard cricket
What the name suggests, sort of like Ford Backyard Cricket, but for 10 year olds... Not a really great game for teens, but great for young children. Basically there are 18 balls you face off Brett Lee, and you have to hit them in various parts of the backyard to score heaps, generally anything 100+ per hit is good. (Hint: hit the possum on the tree) If you hit too hard, and it goes over the fence and you score no runs. If you are metrosexual who is in for eye candy, this game if for you! This is batting only no bowling.

Pro:
- Easy controls

Cons:
- Very cheesy and unprofessional

Screenshot:

URL: https://bne135p.server-secure.com/vs...kyard_cricket/

Pretty good, looks like a glorified children's educational toy, but kind of not professional, more like a game for a 10 year old. Nevertheless playable.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cricinfo Slogout
Thanks to '13805' for notifying me of the game!

In this game, you can select
- the team
- the ground And each ground looks actually different! Lords, The GABBA (Brisbane), Rajiv Ghandi (India) St George's Park (SA), Kensington (WI), MCG, SCG, Galle, Eden Park, Gaddafi, Punjab Cricket stadium, Harare, Eden Gardens, Shere, The Oval,
- Overs, if you are playing non-registered you only get 5, but if you register you can choose 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 overs
- Dfficult, easy medium and hard

And the bowling animation is top class!

Pro:
- Realistic graphics (for a flash game)
- Realistic animation
- Easy controls
- Can select ground

Cons:
- No background sound

Screenshot:

URL: http://slogout.cricinfo.com/

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flash Cricket
This one is plain boring, but playable. You are in a scenario, and you have to bat and win the game (like Last man standing). This is batting only, no bowling.

Pro:
- Easy to use controls (just too keyboard keys)
- Downloadable .exe for offline play (Good for dial-up people)

Con:
- Plain boring, graphics not great

Screnshot:

URL: http://www.flashcricket.com

Pretty good game, it's not great, and it's not bad either. It's just... well... plain... there's no 'wow' or 'oomph' factor like the others either, if you know what I mean..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ING 'Hit the sign'
If the bank, ING Direct is so simple to use, then so is this game!
This is a basic in everything, the controls are basic and so are the graphics. You are a batsmen and it's your job to score the runs. No bowling. It's easy to hit sixes in this game.

Pro:
- Easy controls
- Simple graphics that are good for the eyes

Cons:
- Everything else, no other options

Screenshot:

URL: http://multimedia.banglacricket.com/hit_the_sign.swf

Nothing spectacular, special...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Krish Cricket (World Cup Challenge)
(Lots of games) but the one I tried is the World Cup challenge game. You gotta register as well for this one. This one is a very good cricket game I must admit. This game has both batting bowling.

Pro:
- Awesome graphics (for flash game), similar to International Cricket Captain
- Large range of shots (Numeric keys)
- Team information, realistic

Con:
- You have to sign-up
- Batting list messed up, Murali batting at 4! However, list is customizable

Screenshot (for the lazy people)

Warning: Dial-up warning
URL: http://www.krishcricket.com/

It's a pretty darn good game!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last man standing
The only good aspect of this game is the real life bowling speed, the easy to remember controls and realistics graphics (for a flash game). Apart from that, it would be better if it allowed the player to bat a whole test innings instead of using scenarios.

Pro:
- Real life bowling speed (which is rare)
- Large range of shots (Numeric keys)

Con:
- Not able to bat whole innings

Screenshot

URL: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport/hi/engli...ng/default.stm

Definitely worth trying out
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MagicCricket
This one has pretty good range of shots using the numeric keypad, BUT! The graphics are... nothing more than... B-A-D and dated. In the intro screen you can even see McGrath and Tendulkar in their old ODI uniforms, more like a game made in 2000 or something. You have to score a certain amount of runs to win the game, and I admit it's a hard game to 'win' at.

Pro:
- Large range of strokes

Con:
- Hard to time shots, since you have to be tottaly spot on. Even if you mishit, you get no runs, unlike in StickCricket.
- Bad graphics
- Dated.

Screenshot

URL: http://multimedia.banglacricket.com/vcricket.swf

Really old, really dated, and an almost unplayable game, so hard too time your shots.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MasterBlaster
Easy game to score runs in, and to control. That's all I can say since it's such as darn simple game! Hint: Don't defend, go for everything.

Screenshot:

Pro:
- Easy controls

Con:
- Everything, because it's soooo simple!

URL: http://multimedia.banglacricket.com/master.swf

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mitre Spin King
(Thanks 13805!)

Just score runs off Shane Warne. It IS challeging at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's as e-a-s-y as walking in a park.

Screenshot:

Pro:
- Easy controls and to play

Con:
- Face only Shane Warne, not the other spin king Murali and SLA bowlers like Vetorri

URL: http://www.gamevial.com/cricket.htm
My score: 58 all out (first attempt...)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MouseBreaker Cricket Manager
Thanks jackwolves!

Just like Sim1, but it's has graphic simulations and everything is preset (the teams etc.) you only have to tweak the agression and run-risk levels. It's pretty geeky and yeah, it's very very good for a Sim type game.

Screenshot:

Pro:
- Easy controls and to play

Con:
- More teams and players (especially from the past)

http://www.mousebreaker.com/games/cr...nager/play.php

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MouseBreaker Ashes Bash Game

Just like SlogOut but with enhanced graphics. Enough said.

Screenshot:

http://www.mousebreaker.com/games/cr...nager/play.php

See also "Slog out" which is similar but .... looks older
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Office Umpire
aka. Hawk eye game

Screenshot:

I love this game! It's quite geeky, nerdy and whatever but it's very interesting. You are an umpire, and a you have to judge if the LBWS are correct using Hawk eye technology, the quicker your decision, the more you score. Simple.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slam Criki
(Thanks Nostradamus88!)

This is a pretty average game IMO. You have to register but you can play as guest. The main objective is that a bowling machine bowls against you and you have to hit a six to the furthest distance (to get yourself on the hi-scorelist). This one is challenging, as the all time hit is nearly 200 metres! It's worth a try, if you want to try a new cricket game, and you want to try one fast! :P

Screenshot (for the people who havn't played the game):

URL: http://slam.criki.com/

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SlogOut Cricket

This game is similar to Master Blaster, but there are levels and you can customize the position of your bat. It definitely has better graphics.

Screenshot (for the people who havn't played the game):

URL: http://www.mousebreaker.com/games/slogcricket/play.php

You may also like: "Ashes Bash Game" which is similar.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
StickCricket
One Awesome game! I wouldn't be on this forum, if I didn't love StickCricket and this forum so much! But this is currently by far the most played and most advanced cricket game on the Internet, and rightly so...

It has changed alot since I last played it, and as per Uncle Addie's request (Mute, the dictator), I reviewed it again

StickCricket gives you the ability to select from a 5, 10, 20 or 50 over slog. It also gives you the ability to change your batting order. It also has nitfy 'player stats detail' that popups. Not to mention the new exciting feet banging animation by the batsman before the ball is bowled (some may find it annoying though, cos it slows a their momentum!)

It is continuously being improved and updated (the player names, engine, features etc.), unlike the other games.

There is also a Super 8 (featuring nations) story type game, All Star Slog (hi-score) arcade type game and Club Option to challenge other people.

Pro:
- Excellent graphics and animation
- Good basic controls, even if you mishit you get runs, unlike the other games.
- Ability to choose overs and change batting order
- Continuously updated

Con:
- Online Multiplayer not implemented yet (but this most online games don' have this feature anyway!)
- Can't choose own ground like on SlogOut

Screenshot (for the people who havn't played the game):

URL: http://www.stickcricket.com

The best!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Super Sixes
(Thanks Red Goal)

This game has nice commentary, and the full-on background techno music gives it an exciting feel. Give it a go! You have to hit as much runs as possible off 4 overs. You just use the arrows to position the batsmen and hit space to hit the ball (hopefully for a six!)

Screenshot (for the people who havn't played the game):

URL: http://www.games2win.com/cricket/cri...per_sixers.asp

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Table Top Cricket
A slick game where you well score runs or bowl batsman out. It's really straight foward. Not bad.

Screenshot (for the people who havn't played the game):

URL: http://www.spreadfair.com/sport/spre...ket/index.html

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Test Catch Cricket
With this game, you gotta be a wicketkeeper and catch balls that a batsmen hits. You have 5 'wickets' and the more catches you get in row the more you score. The game becomes harder as you progress. Hint: Watch the ball, not where the ball used to be (Richie Benaud's tip)

Screenshot:

URL: http://www.testcatchcricket.com/

Good for something different, but after a wierd get's boring, pretty decent graphics.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Virtual Cricket
Although the screenshot might suggest it looks really like a technical game, it really isn't. You can only bat, and the main methods you can get out is, caught behind, bowled and caught and bowled. If MasterBlaster is something, this is like a glorified 3D version of it.

Screenshot:
URL=http://img110.imageshack.us/my.php?image=clipboard01ny6.jpg][/URL]

URL: http://multimedia.banglacricket.com/cricket5.swf

After a while get's boring.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zapak Multiplayer cricket game (Beta)
This one is a new multiplayer game created by some Indian company, bad thing is your gotta register, I havn't tested it yet. You can bat and bowl, and theres more shots than on StickCricket. Also the best thing is that it's online multi player, so you versus other people on the net, you can play at many different grounds like the SCG, Mohali etc. There's also a one player game, if you want to play against the computer

It's worth testing, anyone who signs up and plays this game, this thread greatly needs your screenshot!
